Oh I do love a good old fashioned London pub wedding! And when it’s a Londesborough pub wedding coupled with a beautiful ceremony at Clissold House, then I am a happy happy lady. Charlotte and Kieran embodied the idea of breaking the mould. These two love birds hail from New Zealand, and had lots of friends and family flying in to celebrate with them. They knew they wanted to do their day their way, and reorganised the traditional order of the day so they could spend as much time with their loved ones as possible, with no interruptions. I love that!
The first look
Instead of the traditional couple shots after the ceremony, Kieran and Charlotte opted for a first look, and a series of lovely portraits before they got married. Kieran’s reaction to setting eyes on his bride for the first time is priceless. I don’t blame him for getting emotional – have you SEEN how stunning she looks?! Charlotte is giving us all a lesson in Gatsby-style glamour with panache, and rocking an awesome red lip. Love this bridal look so much!
We took a walk together around Clissold Park for some beautifully emotional shots against the wintery trees. You might have noticed that these two had an unexpected (and uninvited) guest at their wedding, in the form of The Beast from The East. It was f-r-e-e-z-i-n-g, (kudos to Charlotte for braving the elements without a jacket) but the snow on the ground actually added to the atmosphere of the shots. It also made it all the more welcome to be ushered into the elegant warmth of Clissold House.
A banger of a party at The Londesborough Pub
After a lovely ceremony, everyone headed to gorgeous East London pub The Londesborough for a reception that would make Jay Gatsby proud. I love this pub – it’s warm and inviting and quirky and contemporary. Perfect for a good old knees up, which is exactly what Kieran and Charlotte did at their Londesborough pub wedding. Hilarious speeches, twinkling ambience and epic, epic dancing. I didn’t leave until the lights went out at the end of the night – it was such fun. Any party that finishes with ‘Come on Eileen’ and a huge amount of leaping about on the dance floor is a winner in my book! Charlotte and Kieran’s wedding was as awesome as they are, and I loved being a part of it.
