OK, once you start to hear about this dream of a quirky Birtsmorton Court wedding, you’re going to want to skip ahead to the pictures. But slow that scroll, and let me give you some of the delicious details first.

Firstly, I’ve got to talk to you about Hatty’s fab-u-lous wedding day style. She wore a total stunner of a handmade, raw silk dress which wrapped around her waist, and chose Irregular Choice shoes to go with it – this quirky, colourful and oh-so-comfortable shoe brand is one of my absolute favourites. I also had some serious serious hair envy! Hatty’s half-hot-pink hair was braided and threaded with flowers, and it looked uh-MAZING.

I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love weddings with young children present. They make for wonderfully cheeky, unexpected and adorable moments, and Hatty and Stephen’s utter cutey of a daughter didn’t disappoint. Did you know that some children can fly? Well, next best thing anyway 🙂 She had me grinning all day with her antics, and I dare you not to smile when you look at the favourites gallery below. It’s impossible!

It’s all about that cake…

OK…what next? I’ve gotta tell you it is HARD to only pick a few things to focus on when there was so much gorgeousness on display at this quirky Birtsmorton Court wedding. But, it would be wrong not to spend a bit of time basking in the glory that was Hatty and Stephen’s wedding cake. It was a ornate, sculptural, multi-tiered and a flowery tower of deliciousness! Chocolate pearls, roses, thistles, a cheeky little mouse and a plaque with the couple’s names on it. How awesome!

It’s almost picture time, I promise. But I just want to give Hatty and Stephen a quick high five for their wonderfully adventurous spirit. I was able to capture some of my favourite couple’s portraits of all my weddings this year thanks to their willingness to go a bit off piste, clamber over a gate and end up in a luscious yellow field of rapeseed. Just perfect. Feast your eyes on these favourites – it was a seriously hard job choosing just a few of them!

If you’re planning a wedding full of fun and these images make you smile as much as I hope they will – why not get in touch for a chat? I’d love to hear about your plans.
