Fun times on a Kemsing playground
As a children’s and family photographer in Sevenoaks in Kent, I love doing ‘day in the life family shoots’. It shows an insight into a family’s life and what they love to do together. It’s also a great way to capture a point in time for that family and create real memories for them for the future. As part of their day, this family went to their favourite playground and we ended up doing a mini Kemsing playground kids shoot.
I love photographing children when they play. They are at their best, when they are free to run around, jump, climb, slide and let loose. They are bubbly, bursting with energy and just generally happy.
It was a great walk through the Kent Downs, past Oast houses so typical of Kent and meadows filled with wild bunnies. We then crossed through Oxenhill Shaw woods. Located about halfway between the villages of Kemsing and Otford and just north of Sevenoaks, Oxenhill Shaw and Meadow is ideal for walking and play. It is also really popular with dog walkers and picnic lovers. It has a network of paths that run through managed meadows and woodland. These woods are hilly and wild and if you’re careful enough you can spot the tracks of wild deer crossing through the trees. It’s a slice of wild nature heaven that you wouldn’t know was so close to civilisation.
