Helga and Barry at Scotney Castle quarry

A wonderful Scotney Castle pre-wedding photo shoot

Scotney Castleis one of the most stunning National Trust wedding venues in the heart of Kent and I’ve been looking for an opportunity to capture photographs there for ages. So, after some shuffling of various schedules back and forth, I was very excited when Helga and Barry agreed to make the journey down to Kent for their Scotney Castle pre-wedding photo shoot.

Scotney Castle offers the perfect package for a wedding or a pre-wedding photo shoot – a Country house, romantic gardens, a little quarry, and a 14th century moated castle – all in a beautiful wooded estate of over 770 acres of lush, green and colourful gardens. Who can resist?

And so Helga, Barry and I set off into the quarry that’s overgrown by trees, bushes and flowers all in bloom and each lending their colours to the beauty of this place. Then on our walk down the hill we explored the moat, the old boathouse and played hide and seek in the weeping willows. i love the way the trailing willow branches frame Helga and Barry as they share some tender moments. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

We then went on to the castle and the ruin that are so romantic in their setting, chatting about how they met and their exciting plans for their wedding in just a few short weeks.

I just love this collection of photographs from Helga and Barry’s Scotney Castle pre-wedding photo shoot and can’t wait to see Helga in her dress and to photograph their wedding day very soon.

Are you planning your Scotney Castle pre-wedding photo shoot? If so, let’s grab and cuppa and plan yours because I’m definitely game 🙂
