Pembroke Lodge winter Pre-wedding photo shoot venue that doesn’t disappoint

Kate, Martin and I met just before Christmas at the beautiful Pembroke Lodge, the magnificent Georgian Mansion at the highest point in Richmond Park. Although not as glorious as in the spring or summer months, the beautifully landscaped grounds surrounding Pembroke Lodge took my breath away. The grounds also offer glorious views over the Thames Valley on a crisp day like this one was and the late afternoon winter sun makes this a magical place to shoot a Pembroke Lodge winter pre-wedding photo shoot.

We had decided to split our session into two, including their lovely children in the first part for a little family shoot and then sneaking off just the three of us to capture a few frames of just the two of them on their very own Pembroke Lodge winter pre-wedding photo shoot. From a wild grassy meadow overlooking the city of London, to an overgrown tunnel or reeds and on to a quiet paved corner surrounded by birdsong and glorious late afternoon sun rays – this is the way pre-wedding photo shoots are meant to be.

I love the energy of this family. Kate and Martin’s munchkins are just very funny and it was a real pleasure photographing them fooling around with each other. Fearlessly climbing over uneven grass mounds and onto fallen trees, these two are adventurers after my own heart.

Kate and Martin are also very lovely and I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding, which is just around the corner, very very soon. I am especially looking forward to catching up with the amazing musicians, which these guys have booked – Sax and Honey. If you don’t know them yet, go and check them out. They are just amazing and if I was getting married, I would hire them in a heartbeat!
