A National Trust engagement photo shoot at Knole Park in Kent
This is an oldie but a goodie. A bit over a year ago, I photographed Patricia and Derek’s National Trust engagement photo shoot just around the corner from my home at Knole Park and in the small city of Sevenoaks.
Patricia is Brazilian from São Paulo and Derek is Canadian from Vancouver. They met while studying for their MBA in London and it was really lovely spending the afternoon with them, hearing their story and photographing their love. As a Kent wedding photographer I often get pulled away to photograph engagement shoots and weddings all over the country and internationally, so it’s always nice when I get the opportunity to shoot so close to home. I also love National Trust engagement photo shoots because they are usually very versatile locations that offer a lot of interesting views and backgrounds to beautifully frame a couple on their shoot.
After a quick stint in Sevenoaks we headed over to Knole Park and immersed ourselves in the sea of ferns, the tall grass and the stunning views. The sky was very moody and added to the drama and the gorgeousness of this National Trust engagement photo shoot. I love how happy Patricia and Derek are with each other and it was so infectious! It made for a truly great shoot and even Derek’s sudden onset of hay fever couldn’t bring us down 🙂
Congratulations to Patricia and Derek on their recent wedding. You guys are gorgeous and meant to be together!
Have you considered having a National Trust engagement photo shoot? I’d love to know where and I’m always up for a new and unexplored location.
