Hedingham Castle is one of those venues that can’t help but take your breath away. Its grandeur, vastness and history are seriously, seriously cool. Add Elizabeth, Kyle, their gorgeous families and friends, dapper Military uniforms and a selection of birds of prey into the mix, and you’ve got yourself an epic and unforgettable International Military Hedingham Castle wedding!

Elizabeth hails from the USA, and with friends flying in from across the world, this was a truly international affair. I have a huge soft spot for her dad. He was so dashing in his stetson hat and so utterly emotional to see his little girl get married. It gave me all the feels! Kyle is in the Para regiment, and he, his best man and buddies looked amazing in their uniforms.

Both the boys and the girls started celebrating nice and early. Music, dancing, cigars, prosecco – the works. These were some of the most fun getting ready shots I’ve ever done.

A very special Moment

This lovely couple also shared a very special pre-ceremony moment together. They met on either side of the door of the bridal suite to speak a prayer together before making their way to their I Dos. Then it was on to the ceremony, which was candlelit and wonderfully atmospheric. Oh, and did I mention that an owl flew the rings down the aisle? Yup. I know.

The bride and groom organised a falconry display to entertain their guests during cocktail hour, and unsurprisingly, it was a huge hit! I stole the couple away for a few short moments, and we had great fun exploring the grounds. We even found a treehouse, which made for some lovely and whimsical shots, but shhh don’t tell anyone.

On the flip-side of this international Military Hedingham Castle Wedding, Kyle’s dad is Scottish, and in recognition of his heritage two traditional bagpipers played the couple into dinner. Delicious food, heartwarming speeches and one serious party followed and I absolutely loved every part of this wedding.

Kyle and Elizabeth are a lovely pair who are clearly head over heels and who pulled off an epic day, so this favourites gallery is a big one, but indulge me!
