An Austrian wedding at the beautiful Mattsee
As an destination Wedding photographer I had the enormous pleasure of photographing Martina and Philip’s stunning Austrian wedding. Spread over two days, Martina and Philip held their civil ceremony in traditional Austrian attire on Martina’s side, followed by a beautiful white wedding in the Stiftskirche at Mattsee in Austria the next day. Both ceremonies were lovely in their own right, made up of emotions and details that I cannot wait to share with you in the full blog post.
Their wedding reception, so fabulously organised by the very talented Daniela Kainz, took place at the Castle Hotel Iglhauser in Mattsee, which successfully and very cleverly combines really old buildings with modern architecture, just perfect for a wedding that wouldn’t let the torrential rain dampen the celebrations, but instead made full use of the many facets of this amazing building. I just loved the mood, the singing, the dancing and Martina and Philip’s wonderful set of friends, who made me feel part of the party, rather than as their Austria Wedding photographer just there to capture it.
Here’s a quick preview of some of my favourite shots from Martina and Philip’s fabulous Austrian wedding day and if you fancy a chat about your destination wedding or you want to knock a few ideas around about your destination engagement shoot or elopement, I’d love to know which one is your favourite?
